Affiliate disclosure

Some of our links to platforms are affiliate links. If you subscribe through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never influences what we publish: rankings come from the benchmark, and if the best-scoring model earns us nothing it still finishes first.

How this works

Running the benchmark costs real money. Every score on this site comes from a clip somebody paid to generate, and affiliate commissions are part of how that gets funded. We would rather say so plainly than pretend the site runs on air.

Affiliate links are marked wherever they appear, so you always know which is which before you click.

What it does not change

  • Rankings. Scores are produced by the process described in our methodology and nothing else. No commission rate is an input to it.
  • What we cover. Models and platforms are included because they are relevant, not because they pay. Several of the products we rate highest earn us nothing at all.
  • What we say. If something is bad, we say it is bad, including when there is a commercial relationship behind it.

What we do not do

  • No paid placement, sponsored rankings or bought reviews.
  • No letting a vendor see or influence results before publication.
  • No advance access or free credits in exchange for favourable coverage.
  • No hiding a commercial relationship behind the word “independent”.

If you ever think a score looks like it was bought, say so — every score links to the clip it came from, and we keep the original file precisely so that it can be checked.

Read the methodology for how the scores are actually produced.
