Krea Review and Pricing: 60+ Models, Its Own Krea 2, and a $9/mo Plan That Isn't There

Krea's real tiers: Free, Pro at $35, Max at $105, Business at $200. The widely-cited $9/mo Basic tier is not on the live page.

By Priya Shenoy · · Updated

Krea's confirmed pricing: Free (100 units/day), Pro $35/mo (20,000 units), Max $105/mo (40,000-100,000 adjustable), Business $200/mo. A widely-cited $9/mo 'Basic' tier does not appear on Krea's current official pricing page.

Krea aggregates 60+ third-party models while also shipping its own open-weighted foundation model, Krea 2. Krea.ai lists one set of plans, and a widely-cited tier from other sources does not actually exist on the live page.

What it costs, and one number that does not match

PlanPrice/moPrice/mo annualUnits/mo
Free$0n/a100/day
Pro$35$2120,000
Max$105$6340,000 to 100,000, adjustable
Business$200$16080,000, up to 50 seats

Several comparison sites describe a $9/mo "Basic" tier sitting between Free and Pro. We could not find it on Krea's live pricing page as of this writing. We are not asserting whether it was discontinued or those sources are simply stale, only that it does not currently exist where we checked.

Free tier

100 units per day, recurring, full access to the real-time canvas, no card required.

Unlimited, on its own model and on the Business tier

Krea 2, its own foundation model, is marketed with unlimited image generation. Separately, the Business plan ($200/mo) adds "unlimited relaxed generations" on supported in-house image models once you exhaust your compute units, plus unlimited image and video generation concurrency (how many jobs run at once, not how many you can generate in total) and unlimited LoRA training. We have not confirmed whether the individual Pro or Max tiers carry any of the same relaxed-generation language.

Krea's own announcement of Krea 2, posted May 12, 2026.

What the numbers mean per unit

Pro works out to roughly $0.00175 per unit monthly ($0.00105 annual). Max is the more interesting case: at its minimum 40,000-unit allocation it costs about $0.00263/unit, but at its maximum adjustable 100,000 units for the same $105 it drops to about $0.00105/unit, matching Pro's annual rate. If you take Max, take the higher unit allocation. Business comes out to roughly $0.0025/unit monthly, actually worse per-unit than Pro, since Business is priced for seat count and admin features rather than raw volume.

These per-unit figures only compare Krea's own plans against each other; a Krea unit is not the same as a credit on any other platform in this category.

How the rest of the field prices out

For reference, using each platform's own published numbers (credit units are not standardized between platforms, so these are not directly comparable to Krea's figures above):

Billing patterns worth knowing before you subscribe

Krea's Trustpilot rating runs notably lower than other platforms we cover, around 2.7 out of 5 across roughly 80 reviews. The recurring complaints: unresponsive support with no live chat, unexpected auto-renewal charges, and a specific, repeated allegation that a previously advertised free-tier feature was quietly removed without notice. That last one is a trust complaint rather than a quality complaint, and it is specific enough across multiple reviews that we would want it resolved before recommending the platform without reservation.

What we have not tested ourselves

We have not benchmarked Krea 2, Krea's own model.

Should you subscribe

The model catalog is one of the widest we have seen, and Pro's annual rate is genuinely competitive once you commit to a year. Use the free tier thoroughly first given the billing complaints above, and read the cancellation terms closely before committing to a paid plan.
