OpenArt Review and Pricing: A Wide Model Catalog, but the Free Trial Lasts 7 Days
OpenArt charges from $14/mo. The free tier is a one-time 40 credits, not a recurring allowance like some competitors offer.
OpenArt aggregates image, video and audio models behind a single subscription, with a broader catalog than most competitors: Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Sora 2, Wan 2.7, LTX 2.3, PixVerse V6, Hailuo 2.3 and more, per the platform's own pricing page.
What it costs
| Plan | Price/mo | Price/mo annual | Credits/mo | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $14 | $13 | 4,000 | ~50 videos, watermark-free, ~13 consistent characters |
| Plus | $34 | $27 | 12,000 | ~150 videos, commercial use rights |
| Pro | $56 | $44 | 24,000 | ~300 videos, priority support |
| Wonder | $240 | $175 | 106,000 | ~1,300 videos |
Wonder also lists "Unlimited Creation" as a separately labeled "Optional add-on," not a feature bundled into the $240 base price above; we could not find further detail on how that add-on is priced or scoped.
The lower figure the page shows next to each price is the annual rate: Plus costs $27 a month billed yearly against $34 billed monthly, and Wonder drops from $240 to $175. Prices as our price radar read them on 12 October 2026.
For context on what one of OpenArt's headline models costs across platforms, here is Seedance 2.5 pricing at 1080p for 10 seconds.
Free tier: thinner than most
40 credits, one time, expiring after 7 days. Not a recurring monthly allowance like several competitors offer, a single trial window. Expect to hit the wall fast if you are evaluating seriously.
What the numbers mean per credit
Starter works out to roughly $0.0035/credit, Plus to about $0.00283, Pro to about $0.00233, and Wonder to about $0.00226. The curve flattens out after Plus: going from Pro to Wonder only saves about 3% per credit despite a much bigger commitment, so the real per-credit savings on OpenArt are front-loaded into the first upgrade from Starter to Plus.
These figures only compare OpenArt's own plans against each other; an OpenArt credit is not the same unit as a credit on any other platform in this category.
How the rest of the field prices out
For reference, using each platform's own published numbers (credit units are not standardized between platforms, so these are not directly comparable to OpenArt's figures above):
| Platform | Entry price/mo | Free tier | Top individual plan/mo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Runway | $15 | 125 credits, one-time | $95 |
| Higgsfield | $19 | 10 credits/day | $99 |
| Leonardo.Ai | $12 | 150 tokens/day | $60 |
| LTX Studio | $15 | 800 credits, one-time | $125 |
| ImagineArt | $13 | 100 credits/day, limited models | $350 |
| Krea | $35 | 100 units/day | $200 |
| Magnific | $20 | none for individuals | $110 (Pro Starter) |
What we found looking past the pricing page
Trustpilot reviews raise a specific, recurring complaint: unused credits, including paid add-on credits, do not roll over and are wiped at renewal. One reviewer described losing over 16,000 credits across two months. A confusing, multi-step cancellation flow is a second recurring theme, along with unclear disclosure that buying extra credits creates its own recurring charge on top of the base subscription. Some other reviewers praised responsive support, so this is not a uniform picture.
What we have not tested ourselves
We have not tested OpenArt's own pipeline. The model scores elsewhere on this site measure the models, not OpenArt, and platform-specific access can affect output even for the same underlying model.
Veo 3.1 is another model OpenArt lists, so here is how its per-clip price compares across platforms.
Should you subscribe
The model catalog is genuinely wide and the entry price is reasonable, but the free tier gives you almost nothing to evaluate with, and the credit-expiry complaints are specific enough to take seriously if you use credits unevenly month to month. Use what you pay for inside the billing cycle rather than banking it.
For a platform with a more generous, recurring free tier, see our Higgsfield pricing breakdown; for the full field, see our platform comparison.

Not really. It's 40 credits, one time, expiring after 7 days, not a recurring allowance.

How much cheaper is OpenArt billed annually?
