LTX Studio Review and Pricing: Its Own Frontier Model, and a Refund Cutoff Worth Knowing

Lightricks charges from €15/mo. Annual billing consistently saves around 20% per credit, but the refund window closes fast.

By Priya Shenoy · · Updated

LTX Studio charges Free (800 credits, one-time), Lite €15/mo, Standard €35/mo, Pro €125/mo. Annual billing saves roughly 20% per credit at every tier. Reviewers report a refund cutoff around 1,200 credits used.

LTX Studio, Lightricks' storyboard-first platform, is not just reselling other labs' models: it ships its own open-sourced frontier model, LTX-2, alongside third-party access to Kling and Seedance.

It is not just an aggregator

LTX-2 is a 14-billion-parameter video model paired with a 5-billion-parameter audio model, generating synchronised 4K audio and video, and Lightricks has open-sourced it. That puts LTX Studio in a different category from platforms like Higgsfield or OpenArt, which resell access to models built elsewhere; Krea is the other platform we cover that also ships its own foundation model alongside third-party access. Standard adds Kling 3.0 Pro and Seedance 2.0, and Pro adds Veo 3.1.

Lightricks announced LTX-2 on its own X account.

What the numbers mean per credit

Lite works out to roughly $0.001875/credit monthly ($0.0015 annual). Standard drops to about $0.00125/credit ($0.001 annual), and Pro is the cheapest per credit at roughly $0.001136 ($0.000909 annual), despite being the most expensive plan in absolute terms. The pattern holds throughout: annual billing consistently saves about 20% per credit at every tier, and each tier up buys meaningfully cheaper credits, not just more of them.

These figures only compare LTX Studio's own plans against each other; an LTX Studio credit is not the same unit as a credit on any other platform in this category.

How the rest of the field prices out

For reference, using each platform's own published numbers (credit units are not standardized between platforms, so these are not directly comparable to LTX Studio's figures above):

The refund policy is worth reading before you buy credits

Reviewers report a hard refund cutoff once you have used around 1,200 credits, roughly 20 minutes of generation time, after which refund requests are not honoured. Because fixing a bad take or adjusting a prompt consumes credits the same as a first attempt, that cutoff arrives faster than the credit count alone suggests. Reviewers also report stiff motion and character-consistency issues on some generations, and describe support as slow to respond.

What we have not tested ourselves

We have not benchmarked LTX-2, LTX Studio's own model. The scores on this site for the models it also carries measure the models themselves, and we cannot tell you whether the same prompt behaves identically through a different platform's access to the same model.

Our multishot scores for the models LTX Studio also carries.

Should you subscribe

If storyboard-level planning across a whole sequence is what you need, and having a genuine in-house frontier model rather than only resold access matters to you, LTX Studio's per-credit economics reward committing to Standard or Pro on an annual plan. Budget conservatively given the refund cutoff, and test on the free tier before buying credits you cannot get back.
