Luma Pricing: Plus, Pro and Ultra Plans, Credits and Cost per Clip
Luma's three plans cost $30, $90 and $300 a month and differ only in credits. What a Ray3.2, Seedance 2.5 or Veo 3.1 clip costs on each, and whether there is a free plan.
Luma sells three individual plans: Plus at $30 a month ($25 billed yearly), Pro at $90 ($75 billed yearly) and Ultra at $300 ($250 billed yearly), plus Team and Enterprise plans priced by quote. The plans differ only in how many credits they include (10,000, 40,000 or 150,000 a month) and how much Luma Agents usage you get; every paid plan has the same models, including Luma's own Ray3.2 and third-party models such as Seedance 2.5, Kling 4.0 and Veo 3.1. The pricing page lists no free plan. The one fact that decides the choice: a credit costs $0.003 on Plus and $0.002 on Ultra, so the bigger plans are about a third cheaper per clip.

Prices checked on 31 October 2026 on Luma's pricing page. The page shows each plan as a monthly price and a "billed yearly" total ($300, $900 and $3,000); these are the same three plans, and the yearly total divided by 12 gives $25, $75 and $250 a month. There is no free plan in the table or anywhere on the pricing page.
What each plan includes
Plus: $30 a month, or $25 billed yearly

- Edit access for guest collaborators.
- Commercial use of output made while the subscription is active.
- Enough for about 25 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p, or 100 five-second Ray3.2 clips at 720p.
Pro: $90 a month, or $75 billed yearly
- 40,000 credits a month: four times Plus for three times the price.
- Everything in Plus.
- 4x usage with Luma Agents, the chat assistant that plans and runs generations for you.

What one clip costs on each plan
Luma publishes a credit price for every model, action and resolution. The table multiplies those credits by each plan's price per credit at monthly billing, and the number in brackets is how many such clips one month of credits buys.
| Clip | Credits | Plus ($30) | Pro ($90) | Ultra ($300) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ray3.2, 720p, 5 s | 100 | $0.30 (100) | $0.23 (400) | $0.20 (1,500) |
| Ray3.2, 1080p, 5 s | 400 | $1.20 (25) | $0.90 (100) | $0.80 (375) |
| Ray3.2, 1080p, 10 s | 1,200 | $3.60 (8) | $2.70 (33) | $2.40 (125) |
| Seedance 2.5, 720p, 5 s, audio | 390 | $1.17 (25) | $0.88 (102) | $0.78 (384) |
| Seedance 2.5, 1080p, 5 s, audio | 955 | $2.87 (10) | $2.15 (41) | $1.91 (157) |
| Seedance 2.0, 720p, 5 s, audio | 255 | $0.77 (39) | $0.57 (156) | $0.51 (588) |
| Kling 3.0, 720p, 5 s, no audio | 150 | $0.45 (66) | $0.34 (266) | $0.30 (1,000) |

Credit rates from Luma's pricing page: Ray3.2 is priced per 5 or 10 seconds, the third-party models per second (Seedance 2.5 is 36 credits a second at 480p, 78 at 720p and 191 at 1080p). Yearly billing lowers every dollar figure by about 17%.
Three things stand out. Ray3.2 rises steeply with resolution: 1080p costs four times 720p, and its HDR modes double (HDR) or triple (HDR plus EXR) the base price, while text-to-video without keyframes adds 30 credits. Veo 3.1 costs 140 credits a second at both 720p and 1080p, so on Plus one month buys eight 8-second clips. Seedance 2.5 at 720p uses about four times the credits of a 720p Ray3.2 clip.
Images and audio come out of the same credits. On Plus, where a credit costs $0.003, a 2K Nano Banana Pro image (35 credits) costs about $0.11, a Uni-1 image (Luma's own image model, 30 credits) about $0.09 and a Seedream 4.0 image at 1K a fraction of a cent. A minute of ElevenLabs music uses 98 credits (about $0.29), and upscaling a 5-second clip to 4K with Luma's upscaler uses 125 credits (about $0.38). Anyone who mixes stills, voice and video in one project spends from one balance, which makes the allowance harder to predict than on a video-only plan.
How Luma credits work
- They expire. Luma's Learning Center FAQ says plan credits reset each billing cycle and unused credits do not carry over to the next month.
- Every generation draws from the same balance: video, images (from 1 credit for a Seedream 4.0 image to 255 for GPT Image 2 at High 4K), audio (ElevenLabs v3 speech at 21 credits per 1,000 characters) and utilities such as upscaling (10 to 25 credits a second).
- Running out: instead of credit packs, you set an additional spending limit in account settings. Generation pauses when you reach it and nothing is charged above it. The per-credit rate for this extra usage is not on the pricing page.
- Failed generations return their credits automatically, according to the same FAQ.
- Renewal and refunds: subscriptions renew automatically at the current rate unless you cancel at least one day before renewal. The Terms of Service (updated 14 May 2026) say fees are final and non-refundable unless Luma decides otherwise.
Monthly or yearly billing
Yearly billing saves $60 a year on Plus ($360 against $300), $180 on Pro ($1,080 against $900) and $600 on Ultra ($3,600 against $3,000). That is 16.7% on every plan, a little under the "save up to 20%" banner at the top of the pricing page. Yearly makes sense only if you will use the credits every month, since unused credits expire each cycle.
Dream Machine, Luma Agents and the API
Luma's pricing page no longer uses the Dream Machine name. It sells one subscription for the whole Luma app, which covers video, image and audio generation, and the Luma Agents assistant on top. Searches for "Dream Machine pricing" land on these same Plus, Pro and Ultra plans. Ray3.2 and Ray3.14 are Luma's own video models; both cost the same for text-to-video, image-to-video and video-to-video (36 to 144 credits a second). Ray3.2 adds reframing (10 to 120 credits a second) and an HDR plus EXR mode; Ray3.14 adds Extend Video.
Luma also sells an API billed separately in dollars, not plan credits: on our price radar a 5-second 720p Ray3.2 clip costs $0.30 and a 5-second 1080p clip $1.20, the same as the Plus plan's effective rate.
Is Luma free?
Not on the current pricing page: the three individual plans start at $30 a month and there is no $0 tier. Luma's terms do describe "free use" and trials, and the page's structured data mentions free trial credits, so new accounts may get a small allowance, but the page does not say how much. Output made outside an active paid subscription cannot be used commercially under the Terms of Service, and Luma gets a broad license to display and train on it. The terms also let Luma add watermarks or content credentials to output at its discretion, on any plan; the pricing page does not promise watermark-free downloads.
Which plan to pick
- Trying it out or occasional clips: Plus. 10,000 credits cover about 100 Ray3.2 clips at 720p or 25 Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p.
- Regular 1080p work: Pro. A 1080p Ray3.2 clip costs $0.90 instead of $1.20 on Plus, and 40,000 credits cover 100 of them.
- Daily production or heavy Veo 3.1 use: Ultra billed yearly, at about $0.0017 a credit. An 8-second Veo 3.1 clip drops to about $1.87.
- Teams: Team, for shared credits, analytics and SSO; ask sales for the price.
- Developers: the API, billed per clip in dollars, so nothing expires at the end of a cycle.
The same models elsewhere
Most of the video models in Luma come from other model makers. Luma charges $1.17 to $0.78 for a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip depending on the plan; here is the cheapest published price for the same clip on each platform we track, each on its best plan:
The radar compares every length and resolution: Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 and Luma's Ray models. Our Seedance 2.5 benchmark results score the model itself. For other subscriptions with third-party models, see Higgsfield pricing, OpenArt pricing and Krea pricing.

Frequently asked
How much does Luma AI cost a month?
Plus costs $30 a month with 10,000 credits, Pro $90 with 40,000 credits and Ultra $300 with 150,000 credits. Billed yearly they cost $25, $75 and $250 a month ($300, $900 and $3,000 a year). Team and Enterprise plans are priced by quote.
Is Luma Dream Machine free?
The current pricing page lists no free plan; the cheapest plan is Plus at $30 a month. Luma's terms mention free use and trials, but the page does not say how many free credits a new account gets, and output made without a paid subscription cannot be used commercially.
What happened to Dream Machine pricing?
Luma's pricing page no longer uses the Dream Machine name. One subscription (Plus, Pro or Ultra) covers the whole Luma app, including Luma's Ray3.2 video model, third-party models and the Luma Agents assistant.
How many videos can I make with Luma credits?
It depends on the model and resolution. A 5-second 720p Ray3.2 clip uses 100 credits, so Plus (10,000 credits) covers about 100 of them; a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip uses 390 credits, so about 25 fit; an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip uses 1,120 credits, so about 8 fit.
Do Luma credits roll over?
No. Plan credits reset each billing cycle and unused credits expire. Credits spent on failed generations are returned automatically. If you run out, you can set an extra spending limit in account settings instead of upgrading.
Does Luma have Seedance 2.5 and Veo 3.1?
Yes, on every paid plan. Seedance 2.5 costs 36 credits a second at 480p, 78 at 720p and 191 at 1080p, so a 5-second 720p clip costs $1.17 on Plus and $0.78 on Ultra. Veo 3.1 costs 140 credits a second at 720p or 1080p.
Can I use Luma videos commercially?
Yes, on a paid plan: the pricing page lists commercial use on Plus and up, and the Terms of Service allow commercial use only of output made during an active paid subscription. The terms also let Luma add watermarks or content credentials to output.
Is Luma cheaper billed yearly?
Yes, by 16.7% on every plan: $60 a year on Plus, $180 on Pro and $600 on Ultra. Credits still arrive monthly and still expire each cycle.
