Magnific Review and Pricing: Image, Video and Audio in One Subscription, No Free Tier
Formerly Freepik. No free plan for individual accounts, but paid credits roll over instead of resetting every month.
Magnific combines image, video, 3D and audio generation in one subscription. There is no free tier for individual plans.
What it actually is
Magnific was Freepik until 28 April 2026, when the whole company, stock library, AI tools, subscriptions and API keys included, rebranded under the Magnific name (Freepik had acquired the original Magnific AI upscaler in 2024 and folded it in). The company reports $230 million in annual revenue, over a million paying subscribers, and no outside VC funding; those are the company's own figures, not independently audited.
This is the video announcing the Freepik to Magnific rebrand.
What it costs
| Plan | Price/mo | Price/mo annual | Credits/mo | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $20 | $14.50 | 20,000 | rolls over, no monthly reset |
| Premium+ | $45 | $33.75 | 50,000 | unlimited Nano Banana 2 at 1K |
| Pro Starter | $110 | $82.50 | 125,000 | unlimited Nano Banana 2 (2K) |
Prices above are in US dollars, as our price radar read them on 18 October 2026. The page can also show EUR or CAD depending on region, so confirm your exact price at checkout. A Pro plan at $280 a month (300,000 credits, adds unlimited Nano Banana Pro) was listed earlier this year; it does not appear on the individual pricing page we read, so ask Magnific before you plan around it.
No free tier for individuals
Unlike most platforms in this category, there is no recurring or one-time free allowance for an individual account. The entry point is a paid subscription. API access draws from the same credit pool as your plan rather than being billed separately, so there is no standalone per-call price sheet to check against.
What the numbers mean per credit
Magnific's credits are a much smaller unit than most competitors', so raw per-credit prices look tiny: Premium works out to $0.001 per credit monthly, Premium+ to $0.0009, and Pro Starter to $0.00088. Billed annually, Premium is 27.5% cheaper and Premium+ and Pro Starter 25% cheaper. The unlimited image models unlocked at each tier change more between plans than the per-credit rate does. One video model, Kling 2.5, is also unlimited "all year" on qualifying plans, alongside the image-model unlimited tiers above; every other video model stays credit-metered.
These per-credit figures are not comparable to other platforms' credits, since each platform defines and prices its own credit unit differently. Use them only to compare Magnific's own plans against each other.
The model catalog
Video: Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Kling (2.5, 3.0 and the Omni variant), Runway Gen-4, Hailuo 02, PixVerse. Image: GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2 and Pro, Imagen 4, Flux, Ideogram and more. Magnific also has a documented API, with an MCP server for direct integration into tools like Claude.
How the rest of the field prices out
For reference, using each platform's own published numbers (credit units are not standardized between platforms, so these are not directly comparable to Magnific's figures above):
| Platform | Entry price/mo | Free tier | Top individual plan/mo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Runway | $15 | 125 credits, one-time | $95 |
| Higgsfield | $19 | 10 credits/day | $99 |
| Leonardo.Ai | $12 | 150 tokens/day | $60 |
| OpenArt | $14 | 40 credits, one-time | $240 |
| LTX Studio | $15 | 800 credits, one-time | $125 |
| ImagineArt | $13 | 100 credits/day, limited models | $350 |
| Krea | $35 | 100 units/day | $200 |

What users report
Trustpilot reviews describe two-factor login codes arriving one to two hours late, past their expiry window, with templated support responses. A more serious pattern, if accurate: some users report that credit allowances that used to last around 20 days now exhaust in roughly a day since the April 2026 rebrand from Freepik, alongside reduced parallel-generation capacity and longer queue times. We have not independently confirmed that pattern.
Should you subscribe
The model breadth (Seedance, Veo 3.1, Kling, Runway Gen-4, Hailuo, PixVerse and more, all from one credit pool) and the developer-facing API are real strengths. Weigh the reliability complaints above against your own testing before committing to a plan sized for consistent throughput.
